Anterior Cervical Discectomy And Fusion versus Anterior Cervical Corpectomy And Fusion In Cervical Spondylotic Myelopathy : A Meta Analysis
A meta – analysis was conduct on published studies reporting outcomes after Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) or Anterior Cervical Corpectomy and Fusion (ACF) procegures for multilevel ACDF and single or multilevel ACF with Cervical Spodylotic Myelopathy (CSM).
The purpose of this study was to document operative time, blood loss, clilnical outcomes, radiographic outcome, surgical complications of Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF) and Anterior Cervical Corpectomy and Fusion for multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy and help surgeons to compare these two options.
A literature search was performed to Identify and compare studies that reported the clinical outcomes of both ACDF and ACF. A database including patient demographic information, operative clinical, or Radiologic outcomes, fusion rate, and complication rate was created. All theses that not compare ACDF with ACF were excluded from this study and Only comparison techniqus in the treatment of multilevel cervical spondylosis were excluded from this study. Data Sources language is only English.
