Consumer peer review – Hydromorphone for cancer pain – review

Skills: Peer Review - Consumer
The Pain, Palliative and Supportive Care Review Group (PaPaS) is seeking a consumer reviewer for this Cochrane review. Ideally we would like to find someone with relevant lived experience (e.g. a patient or carer), who would be interested in reviewing our review and providing feedback.

We forward all reviewers a copy of the draft  review and a checklist for you to complete. We ask peer reviewers to submit courteous and constructive comments on the review that identify its weaknesses as well as suggestions for ways of improving it. We ask that you do not share the draft manuscript as it is confidential until the review is published on the Cochrane Library. We would normally expect the completed checklist to be returned within two weeks of you receiving the documents, but if this is not feasible, we can discuss an alternative date.

You can read the Cochrane Peer Review Policy here: https://community.cochrane.org/editorial-and-publishing-policy-resource/cochrane-review-management/cochrane-peer-review-policy.

Find out more about consumer reviewing for PaPaS on our website here: https://papas.cochrane.org/resources-consumers

We send a copy of the final published review to all reviewers, along with all peer reviewer comments and the authors' responses. You will also have the opportunity to give your permission to be named in the Acknowledgements section of the published protocol and on the PaPaS website.
