Skills / interests: Other

Methodological skills / interests: Bias, Non-randomised studies of interventions

A methodologist co-author is required to join a team about to begin a Cochrane review of treatments for RYR1 myopathies. Expertise in protocol development and specific knowledge and experience of authoring reviews that include non-randomised studies is required, in addition to experience of standard intervention reviews and MECIR requirements. This is a rare condition but a developing field. Experience of reviews in rare diseases might be helpful. This will not be a large review, most input is likely to be required at the protocol stage and in providing guidance regarding review conduct and risk of bias assessments.

Ideal applicant

As above methodologist with experience of reviews that include non-randomised studies and Cochrane protocol development.
