Have you or a loved one been admitted to intensive care for COVID-19? Your input is needed on a review tracheostomies for people who are critically ill with COVID-19
Skills / interests: Consumer (public, patient, carer) input
Would you be interested in helping us with this article focused on finding the best time to perform a tracheostomy for people who are critically ill with COVID-19?
I am looking for a consumer who would be willing to peer review this Cochrane systematic review “Early versus late tracheostomy in critically-ill COVID-19 patients”
Cochrane considers a consumer to be a person with experience of the condition (in this case, hospitalization for severe COVID-19), either as a patient or as a carer/family member of a patient. From a consumer perspective, we are interested if the language of the review, especially the language used in the Plain Language Summary, is accessible and if it feels relevant for those experiencing severe COVID-19, such that it will be helpful to patients and carers with healthcare decision making.
While you are welcome to provide feedback on any aspect of the review, you can focus your attention on the summary sections. Our aim is for this to be a manageable task, that does not overburden consumer reviewers.
Thank you in advance for considering!
