Have you or a loved one experienced a serious knee injury? Your input is needed on a protocol for a review considering treatments for people with posterior cruciate ligament injuries of the knee
Skills / interests: Consumer (public, patient, carer) input
Would you be interested in helping us with this review protocol focused on treatments for people with posterior cruciate ligament injuries (a type of knee injury)?
I am looking for a consumer who would be willing to peer review a protocol for a Cochrane systematic review titled “Interventions for treating posterior cruciate ligament injuries of the knee in adults”
Cochrane considers a consumer to be a person with experience of the condition (in this case, knee injury), either as a patient or as a carer/family member of a patient. From a consumer perspective, we are interested if the language of the protocol is accessible and if it feels relevant for those experiencing knee injuries, such that it will be helpful to patients and carers with healthcare decision making.
A protocol is a plan for a systematic review. Consumer input at protocol stage is integral to ensure that the completed systematic review will be helpful to patients and carers with healthcare decision making. For consumer peer review, you will be asked to complete a short form with your feedback. Our aim is for this to be a manageable task, that does not overburden consumer reviewers.
Thank you in advance for considering!
Hi I have experience as a medical professional and a carer for patients in orthopaedics. I am wondering if you need any help with the systematic review and an added author perhaps? Please let me know.
